At Wellwise Pharmacy, our team—led by owner and Pharmacist-In-Charge Dr. D.J. Onuaguluchi and Clinical Pharmacist Dr. Bruce Tyler—brings together over 40 years of combined experience serving the Texas community with integrity, compassion, and expertise.
Our staff’s commitment to service and leadership extends beyond the pharmacy. With distinguished roles in various professional organizations—including Houston Graduate Regent (President) and Satrap (Regional President) of the Southwest Province of the nation’s largest pharmacy fraternity—we proudly represent pharmacy leadership at both local and regional levels.
One moment that shaped our mission came in 2021, during a "Brothers Keeper" service project organized by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In the aftermath of the Texas freeze, we had the privilege of helping a resilient, homebound widow whose home needed urgent care. It was through that experience that we recognized a broader need: to support individuals like her not only with medication, but with resources for long-term care and independence. Since then, we’ve guided her through the 1915(c) waiver process—enabling her to live more comfortably at home—and we’re proud to do the same for others.
